About GameLad

🎮 GameLad - A Playable Handheld Console Inside FiveM

Ever wanted your players to pull out a tiny handheld game system in-game and waste time like it’s 1999? Good news. Bad news for productivity.

GameLad adds a fully usable in-game handheld console experience to your FiveM server. Players can open a custom device UI, choose a supported game file, select their handheld color, and play legally usable retro-style homebrew games directly through an in-game NUI interface.

It is built for server owners who want something fun, different, nostalgic, and interactive without handing players another boring menu that looks like it was built during a power outage.

GameLad is currently built for QBCore only.

This product does not currently include ESX or QBox support.

What Can Be Played On It?
GameLad is intended for legally distributable ROM files, such as original homebrew games, demo ROMs, or games the server owner has the legal right to use and distribute.

The safest use is to include your own original homebrew games or ROM files with a license that clearly allows redistribution and commercial server use.

Want to include your own tiny custom game? Awesome.

Want to load a legally allowed homebrew ROM? Also awesome.

Want to toss in a random commercial game file from the internet? Please do not summon the copyright goblins.

What Is Not Included
This product does not include:

Commercial game ROMs
BIOS files
Copyrighted commercial game artwork
Branded third-party game assets
Official console, publisher, or commercial game content
Server owners are responsible for ensuring that any game files they add are legally obtained and legally allowed to be used on their server.

ROM / Game Content Disclaimer
Customers and server owners are responsible for ensuring that any ROMs or game files they add are legally obtained and legally allowed to be used on their server.

Only use ROMs you created yourself, ROMs in the public domain, or ROMs with a license/permission that clearly allows redistribution and/or commercial server use.

EmulatorJS / GPL License Notice
GameLad uses EmulatorJS, which is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0.

EmulatorJS is not owned, created, or maintained by GameLad, RunFree, RF Gaming, or RF Gaming Assets. EmulatorJS remains subject to its own license terms.

Required third-party license notices and GPL information are included with this resource. Any bundled or separately downloaded EmulatorJS files remain under their applicable open-source license.

GameLad is sold as a FiveM integration, UI/resource package, configuration, and gameplay experience built around legally usable content. The sale of this resource does not grant rights to any third-party copyrighted games, ROMs, BIOS files, trademarks, characters, brands, or assets.

Recommended Use
Create your own simple homebrew games
Use legally licensed homebrew ROM files
Add GameLad as a fun collectible, arcade item, shop item, or player reward
Give your players something fun to do during downtime besides standing in a parking lot arguing over who scratched the Crown Vic
Final Note
GameLad is for server owners who want a fun, interactive handheld-style device system inside FiveM.

It gives your players a reason to say, “Hold on, I’m playing my GameLad,” right before ignoring every emergency call, heist plan, traffic stop, court case, and staff announcement on the server.

That said, GameLad is intended for legally usable homebrew/demo ROM files only. Do not add commercial game ROMs, BIOS files, copyrighted artwork, branded assets, or anything you do not have the legal right to use or distribute.

So to be painfully clear: use your own original games, public domain games, or properly licensed homebrew files. Do not feed the tiny fake handheld anything that summons lawyers from the shadows.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
